We try and chase the summer through Spring to Autumn
I cried today in a museum. It's not ever museum that does that but this one did.
Another day in the park
I think it was the Fourth of July
Another day in the park
I think it was the Fourth of July
People talking, really smiling
A man playing guitar (play a song, play a song, play on)
Singing for us all (singing for us)
Will you help him change the world
Can you dig it (yes, I can)
And I've been waiting such a long time
For today.

Hey Squishy!
Glad you liked the letters, I really hope one day you get to come visit these places.
After hunting goblins and finding fairyland this next letter might seem a little less interesting.
5th June 2018
The red and cream mountains of the dessert lit briefly in the dawn light then were gone as we headed west and north on the next leg of our journey. I am tired. I know this, I feel it in my clothes. I know that sounds weird but with a small suitcase with almost everything dedicated to camping equipment, you get tired of your clothes. You also get sick of looking like a tourist but I have slowly come to accept that is exactly what we do look like.
San Antonio
Dad this post is for you because you asked about knees. No not our knees but the knees on the cedars lining the river in San Antonio. It was meant to be wet when we arrived in San Antonio and I was almost looking forwards to the wet after New Orleans. But it was not to be. We arrived late in the evening after a full day on the train. Actually we arrived early by a good hour so it was only 11 PM and not midnight when we arrived.
The power of one more step.
In the latter half of last year I was in a lot of pain. My fitness which had gradually been improving dived and I struggled to make 2 kilometres where I’d been wogging (Walk / Jog ) five weeks before. I knew I’d done something but not what. A trip to the doctor resulted in more pain but a off hand comment to a work colleague put me onto a great Physiotherapist.
Time is flying by and I really need to be more disciplined in writing as things are just happening too quickly.
Today is Day 8 since we left Australia and we are in our third environment. The weather has continued to be fantastic with cool breezes and warm sunshine a perfect combination.
So the road trip is a third of the way through, if you count road trips by legs and not distance driven. We have covered over 2000 kilometres in the past five days.
Driving, not flying. We stared with a last stop at our cottage and a cuddle with my dog. He doesn't understand time and doesn't understand why the house has changed and why he is getting fed by someone else. I mope about him because of all the things it is the dog I feel guilty about - He will be fine - but I still feel bad.
